Dot Bike once again led a convoy last week for Boston's Bike Friday--and, once again, we were the first ones to make it to City Hall Plaza! The report from the convoy leaders is that 15 people met up for the ride, and a few more joined along the way at some of the rougher parts.

Now that the weather has improved and more people are riding and thinking about getting into or maintaining their shape the weekly Ashmont Cycles shop ride appears to be gaining momentum. Generally there are two set times to head out 6:05 p.m. for the faster riders and 6:30 p.m. for a 12 - 14 mph group. Sunday was a gorgeous day for the Dorchester Day Parade, and about 12 cyclists joined us to rep Dot Bike, bikes decked out with flags, balloons, and "I bike to work" signs. We rode/marched with other representatives from the Dorchester Environmental Health Coalition, including a crew of fruits and vegetables advocating for a food coop in Dorchester. We handed out Boston Bike maps and blinky lights to cyclists and kids in the crowd, and had a fun time circling around our marching companions…Continue
